The researchers used the Grounded Theory Method (GTM) and integrated the Queer Theory and Psychoanalytic approach in the textual analysis of selected Bicol lyric poetry in an attempt to explain the degree of eroticism and queer attraction of Bicolanos. The Analyses of the researchers were validated through the participants of the study which included 10 binary genders, 10 male homosexuals, 10 lesbians and 10 experts in the field of Bicol literature. The researchers identified four degrees of eroticism and named it: Tikwil, Girok, Kagat and Siram (Bicol terms which mean poke, tickle, bite, and euphoria). Significant findings of the study revealed that homosexuals, bisexuals and lesbians exist in Bicol lyric poetry, and Bicolanos, as seen on their lyric poetry, fell under the degree of Kagat, where people engage into sexual activities for physical gratification. In addition, queer Bicolanos, as seen on their lyric poetry, driven by strong physical attraction, give in into sexual encounters even with different sexual partners. This study recommended that future studies should explore a wider range of Bicol literature other than lyric poetry and investigate on the presence of queer characters, the roles they project, and dig deeper on the acceptance or condemnation of these queer identities in the society as a whole.

Funny how we see things in isolation, yet if we look closer, they are actually intertwined. This,... more Funny how we see things in isolation, yet if we look closer, they are actually intertwined. This, I believe, is the point of Michael Peters in his dialogue with Petar Jandric on the journal article titled Philosophy of Education in the age of Digital Reason when he said that: ...intellectual thought is driven too much by labels and by imprecise categories that operate on the principle of exclusion and 'death association' when really we all should be doing the hard work of actually tracing the connections, influences, similarities, differences and theoretical hybrids. (p.173) Before I begin my points about the content of this article, I would like first to express my awe with their methodology since this is the first time that I have encountered a dialogue in a journal. I have read journal articles, yet they are of a very strict format which included but are not limited to introduction, objectives, and methods and materials. This alone led me to a realization that sources of knowledge come in various forms and methods, and we should not be limited to the things that we already know. Some points on Peters and Jandric's dialogue have caught my attention. I actually like the notion of Peters about " peer-to-peer learning dialogue " (p.165). In similar manner, Gokhale (1995) found out that collaborative learning enhances the critical thinking skills of students. Since I am more of a student-centered teacher, I encourage my students to work collaboratively through group works. Gone were the days where teachers act as the authority of knowledge because it is a fact now that everyone can access information in just a click. What we can do as educators is to facilitate the learning process of our students and to teach them how to leverage the information that they get from the internet. Peters and Jandric also elaborated that digital media can be a very good portal for collaborative learning. I believe that this is one
