Payman Vafaee, Ph.D.
I am a full-time lecturer in Applied Linguistics at Teachers College, Columbia University. I teach MA and PhD-level courses in the areas of Second Language Assessment, Validation, Quantitative Research Methods and Second Language Acquisition.
I am also the Director of Research and Development at SLTI. In this role, I manage project leads as well as several test developers engaged in educational assessment research as well as other types of research projects that may involve local, regional, or global teams.
I earned my Ph.D. in second language acquisition and assessment from the University of Maryland, College Park. I also completed two years of a doctoral program of applied linguistics at Teachers College, Columbia University.I have presented numerous conference papers and workshop programs at professional conferences. I have also written or co-authored articles in a variety of publications and have reviewed articles for several scholarly journals.
