- Usage
- Use this template to add a reference to a taxon on the web site NCBI Taxonomy (National Center for Biotechnology Information) by providing the taxon id on NCBI.
- Note: This template can be used in conjunction with {{Taxoconflict}}, {{Taxa}}, {{Genera}}, {{Genera2}}, {{Species}}, {{Species2}} and {{Subspecies}} with parameter "source=NCBI" (See here the different values for source)

- Sample (for Homo sapiens): 9606

- The name of the taxon with its author (don't forget italic for genus and species)

- checks=no (optional)
- This template compares the parameter <speciesId> with the property P685 stored in wikidata.
- When different, a maintenance category is added.
- checks=no disables this test when {{NCBI}} does not describe the taxon described in wikidata (Happens when there are multiple call to {{NCBI}} on the same category/gallery, mainly in monotypic taxons)
