Corrado Greco
Corrado Greco got his Piano degree with honours at the age of nineteen, and then attended masterclasses courses helded by renowed pianists such as Alberto Mozzati and Bruno Canino. He afterwards graduated in composition and electronic music at Milan Conservatory, and got a Master’s Degree with honours in Musicology with a dissertation on the communication of art music in Italy. He currently teaches at Milan Conservatory.Winner of a number of awards at national and international piano competitions, he performs regularly as a soloist and with orchestra, with ensembles such as the Amarcord Quartett of the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova and the PKO of Prague, and with soloists such as Mario Ancillotti, Rodolfo Bonucci, Bruno Canino, Mario Caroli, Fabio Di Casola, Martina Jankova, Bin Huang, Massimo Quarta, Giovanni Sollima, Tatjana Vassiljeva, Lorna Windsor.As pianist of the Trio des Alpes he has participated since 2010 in international festivals, and recorded for the Dynamic music label. For the Trio he has conceived and created thematic projects, and performed the triple concerts with orchestra by Beethoven, Ghedini, Schnyder, Martinů.In music and theatre performances he worked with important actors and performers such as Dacia Maraini, Arnoldo Foà, Franco Graziosi, Amanda Sandrelli, Pamela Villoresi, Enzo Decaro.His recordings have received recognition from the specialized press and are often broadcast by RAI, RSI, SRG, HRT and other international Radio and TV channels. He has been invited several times to participate in the Quirinale Concerts in Rome, broadcast live on Euroradio.As a strong believer in the importance of music dissemination, Corrado Greco regularly holds seminars, conferences and concert-lessons. Since 2001 he has been artistic director of the Concert Season of the University of Insubria in Varese, where he also holds courses in musical communication and 20th century music.Artist with a passion about technology, traveller full of enthusiasm and curiosity about paths and cultures of the world, Corrado Greco has played in all continents except one, but he does not despair.
