Much of Environment Canterbury’s data contains a spatial reference, which we make available through our Geographic Information System (GIS). Our GIS is available here.
This group of data points to ECan's ArcGIS server, which provides a series of web services that can be consumed by GIS clients such as ArcGIS for Desktop.
The Natural Resources Regional Plan (NRRP) regulates the sustainable management of natural resources in Canterbury. It’s complemented by catchment or location-based plans or water conservation orders.

Our urban public transport network links all parts of Greater Christchurch, as well as many nearby towns. Bus stop and route data are available via the Metro Developer Portal as real-time APIs
