I had the pleasure of hitting the stage at Pocket Gamer Connects: London last week to share insights on how our team at SYBO built the Subway Surfers brand and continues to keep it culturally relevant for over a decade. A few key takeaways, in case you missed it: 🔁Consistency is key. Subway Surfers was inspired by our founders’ love for skateboarding and hip-hop, and these elements still shape the brand today. Staying true to your core identity while evolving with your audience is essential for longevity. 🤳Engaging social media strategy is essential to remain relevant. We have a team of social media experts and content creators who have their fingers on the pulse of what’s trending right now, whether it’s a new meme that dropped this morning or a trending song that we can play with. 👾Keep it fresh. Every three weeks, we introduce new characters and environments so Subway Surfers stays exciting to long-time players. This also opens doors for relevant pop culture references and in-game brand collaborations. A huge thanks to Charlie Scowen and the Steel Media Ltd team for having me!

SUBWAY SURFERS 2024 REWIND ⏰ In 2024, Subway Surfers reached 357 million downloads, with 4.5 billion lifetime downloads, and our social media channels reached over 1 billion views. 🤯 We visited six new locations and celebrated our 12th birthday by bringing back Subway Surfers Classic! Subway Surfers added new game modes and features: Floor is Lava, Veggie Hunt, Trick or Treat, and Player Profile.
