At Too Good To Go, we’ve teamed up with some of your favourite brands to help avoid unnecessary food waste in Irish homes. 💪 🇮🇪 38% of Irish consumers indicate they discard food because it has gone past the Best Before date (Empathy, 2024). However, Best Before dates are all about optimal quality, not food safety. So if unopened and stored correctly, it’s perfectly fine to trust your senses—look, smell, and taste–to assess if a product is still good to eat past its Best Before date. 💡 That’s why we’re so excited about the launch of our ‘Look-Smell-Taste’ initiative in Ireland. With this launch, our date labelling initiative is now helping to avoid unnecessary wastage across 15 countries! 👁️👃👄 Thank you to our partners Guinness Food Products, Musgrave, Ballymaloe Foods, Carambar & Co , Tirlán, Kellanova, Danone, The Plant-It Food Co. , Emmi Group, Bel, Green Saffron , Lorenz, FZ Organic Food, for featuring our Look, Smell, Taste label on their Best Before products. Trust your senses. Reduce food waste. Help the environment. For more information, please see: https://lnkd.in/dZdhb7iF

🇬🇧 Exciting news! Today, we’re officially launching Too Good To Go Parcels in the UK (exc. Northern Ireland)! 🇬🇧 📦 With Too Good To Go Parcels, we’re offering an effective surplus food management channel designed to help food brands reduce food waste. And for our app users, this means they are able to have unique, high-quality products at an affordable price delivered—right from the brands they love, like Tony's Chocolonely, Minor Figures, and The Skinny Food Co. 🌍 Did you know, nearly 12 million tonnes of food are wasted at the manufacturing stage in Europe every year, leading to more than 32 million tonnes of CO2e emissions? That’s the equivalent annual CO2e emissions of over 4 million UK citizens. By expanding our Too Good To Go Parcels offering to more countries, we’re taking real steps towards a world where no food goes to waste. 🏅This initiative builds on the success of our much-loved Surprise Bags with our highly engaged community of over 17 million UK users who are as passionate about fighting food waste as we are. Thank you to our incredible partners, and to everyone fighting food waste with us! Together, let’s continue to make sustainable choices accessible, impactful, and rewarding! #FoodWaste #Sustainability #TechForGood

🌍 ✨ Global Diversity Awareness Month - welcoming our new Employee Resource Groups Co-Chairs ✨ 🌍 At Too Good To Go, building an inclusive workplace is an ever lasting journey that we’re all on together. That’s why in 2022, we launched four employee-led Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), chosen by the team, to help foster inclusivity and build a stronger sense of community for minority and affinity groups. Our ERGs: 🌍 Global Majority Voices – representing the voices and experiences of employees from the global majority, chaired by Uvani Appanna ♿ Functionally Diverse – championed by Brandon Banks and Georgina Lynch promoting inclusivity and awareness around accessibility and mental health in the workplace 🏳️🌈 Pride – our LGBTQIA+ ERG led by Rebecca Craig. 🚺 Women in the Workplace – promoting equity for women at all levels in the company, steered by Katrine Aaberg and Melanie Albrecht. Thank you to our ERG Co-Chairs, past and present, for their dedication to creating spaces for connection, support, and empowerment at Too Good To Go. Let’s keep supporting each other, keep showing up for one another, and keep making Too Good To Go a place where every voice matters. 💚 #TechForGood #BCorp

👀👃👅Celebrating World Food Day by encouraging consumers to trust their senses and save good food from going to waste 👀👃👅 📅 Five years ago, we learned that around 10% of European household food waste comes from misunderstandings about Best Before and Use By dates (EC, 2018). We knew we needed to do something about it. This led us to scale the ‘Look-Smell-Taste’ initiative, aimed at spreading awareness on how Best Before products are often good after their date. 🤝 In partnership with some of the world's leading consumer goods companies including Unilever, Nestlé, Danone, Mondelēz International and Bel we introduced a simple yet powerful way to help prevent unnecessary food waste in households. The bespoke Too Good To Go label encourages consumers to trust their senses and look, smell and taste Best Before food items before wasting them. 🏆 And together, we’re making a real difference: 74% of those who noticed the ’Look-Smell-Taste’ label, reported that they were inspired to change their behaviour for the better.* 👏 On this World Food Day, we want to say thank you to our coalition of over 500 brands, across 14 countries, who have adopted the label and print it on over 6 billion product packages annually, helping consumers avoid unnecessary food waste at home. For more information about the link between food waste and the environment, please visit https://lnkd.in/ekzvC38F. *According to a multi-country Brand and Image survey conducted by Kantar Insights for Too Good To Go, 2024. #WorldFoodDay #FoodWaste #Sustainability #LookSmellTaste

🤝🚀 Next-level efficiency and food waste reduction with Too Good To Go and Hanshow 🚀🤝 We’re super excited to team up with Hanshow to make surplus food management in grocery stores easier than ever. With the integration of Too Good To Go’s Platform and Hanshow’s electronic shelf labels, managing near-expiry products is now a breeze. 🍃 Instead of checking every single item, store employees get a custom shortlist sent right to their handheld devices, cutting down daily checks to just 1-5% of products. And with Hanshow’s shelf labels flashing within seconds, staff can spot the right products at record speed. 💯 This solution is currently being tested in six stores in France, where it has already saved employees up to 1 hour per day. In some locations, we’ve seen a 56% reduction in the time spent locating items—valuable time that can now be used to focus on other tasks and improve store operations. 👏 Together with Hanshow, we’re streamlining store operations, boosting productivity, and making a real impact in the fight against food waste! 🌍 #Sustainability #Innovation #TechForGood https://lnkd.in/enbDgcZu

⚡NYC Climate Week 2024 has officially come to a close!⚡ This year’s #ClimateWeek was the biggest yet, and the Too Good To Go team was proud to be right in the heart of it. 💚 🧑💻Our VP of Operations - North America, Chris MacAulay, made a major impact, speaking at five key events throughout the city. At the Regen House Roundtable, Chris shared insights alongside experts from ReFED, Apeel, and other innovators, discussing how tech solutions can accelerate climate action. 📈Zach Shaben, our Public Affairs Manager, also attended many events. At Capgemini’s Business to Planet panel, he highlighted how businesses can embrace sustainability not just as a challenge, but as an opportunity for growth and impact. 🧑🎓Meanwhile, our Head of Strategy, Allie Denburg, returned to her alma mater, Columbia Business School, to inspire students in the sustainability club. Allie shared her vision for a more sustainable and equitable food system, offering valuable advice on pursuing careers in sustainability. ✨And we were honoured to be featured on the iconic Nasdaq tower. Pretty amazing. Big thanks to the team at Nasdaq for this honour, specifically Charles Neidenbach for working his magic! This year’s Climate Week brought together changemakers who are more driven than ever. It strengthened partnerships and advanced innovative solutions to achieve environmental goals. However, as Champions 12.3 founder, Ambassador Hans, reminded us, we are not yet on track to meet the UN’s goal of halving food waste by 2030. Reducing food loss and waste remains crucial for meeting global greenhouse gas reduction targets, and the mission of Too Good To Go—fighting food waste at every level—has never been more essential! 👊 #ClimateWeek #Sustainability #TechForGood
