Usage of Dashboard Viewer

The "Dashboard Viewer" is an application on your Launchpad and can be used to access dashboards created by users in your environment. You can access the "Dashboard Viewer" with role environment user. To make dashboard accessible for other users of your environment, use the VFC to publish them.

Procedure

To publish the dashboard in the "Dashboard Viewer" through Visual Flow Creator, follow these steps:

  1. From the node palette, drag and drop the following nodes to the working area:

    • Timestamp node
    • Slider node
    • Gauge node
  2. Connect the nodes in a flow as shown below:

  3. Double click on the inject node to edit the properties. For more information, refer to Editing nodes.

  4. Double click on the slider node to edit the properties.

    • Enter the group name as "Conveyor belt". To edit the properties of "Group" section, click edit.
    • Select the image "Size".
    • Enter the "Label" as "slider".
    • Enter the "Range" values as "Min 0, max 100".
    • Click "Done".
  5. Double click on the gauge node to edit the properties.

    • Enter the group name as "Conveyor belt". To edit the properties of "Group" section, click edit.
    • Select the image "Size".
    • Type: Compass
    • Label: speed
    • Units: rpm
    • Range: Min 0, max 100
    • Click "Done".
  6. To create a dashboard window in the dashboard tab, click tab.

  7. To edit the created tab, click edit.

    • Enter the Dashboard name.
    • In the "Icon" section, Select a textual key indexing from the standard catalogs.
    • In the "Access" section, select the "Show in Dashboard Viewer and OI" from the dropdown menu to publish the dashboard.
    • In the "FM & OI access" section, you can select any one of the following options from the dropdown menu.
    • Click "Update".

  8. Save and execute the flow.

To view the results, click the "Dashboard Viewer" icon in the Launchpad. "Dashboard Viewer" screen is displayed.

Click on the published dashboard. The required dashboard flow will now be visible on the Visual Flow Creator Dashboard screen. You can slide the pointer and get the desired results:
