Abstract
With the increasing popularity of IP based services on mobile devices, future cellular networks will be IP based and designed more as an extension to the Internet rather than the telephone network. Managing mobile hosts within a IP based network is a challenge especially when fast handoff are required. We propose a micromobility scheme that achieves very fast handoffs with no wireless overhead. We compare our protocol with other proposed schemes.
