Abstract
This paper analyses and investigates how Intelligent Network (IN) may evolve to support terminal and personal mobility for advanced B-ISDN services.
Taking as starting point current standard proposals like IN CS2 and Cordless Terminal Mobility
The paper is based on the work done in the context of the ACTS Project AC013 EXODUS — Experiments On the Deployment of UMTS, in which field trials to demonstrate the IN functionality needed to meet UMTS requirements are going to take place. The specified functional architecture, physical architecture and control model are presented.
