Abstract
Relay cooperative transmission can increase the transmission distance and reduce the transmit power. In this paper, three transmission modes are discussed: direct mode, single relay mode and dual relay mode. Each of the transmission schemes is optimized to obtain the maximum channel capacity. The theoretical formula of the channel capacity is derived and the effectiveness is verified through simulation. The paper also discusses a tradeoff between transmission delay and transmission distance. When the balance between transmission delay, distance and power is established, maximum channel capacity is achieved.
