Integrating Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmacy Data: A Conceptual Model for Precision Medicine and Enhanced Patient Care

  • Conference paper

Advances in Conceptual Modeling (ER 2023)

Abstract

Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmacy have emerged as pivotal branches of medical science, harnessing radioactive isotopes to diagnose and treat various diseases. The implementation of conceptual modeling in these disciplines is a paradigm shift that fosters precision, safety, and efficiency. The main objective of this research paper is to present a comprehensive Conceptual Model (CM) that integrates data from the Nuclear Medicine services and Radiopharmacy unit, laying the foundation for developing a practical application to manage the data in these different fields together. By harnessing the power of this model, the envisioned application seeks to facilitate precision medicine, thereby enhancing clinical outcomes and patient care.
