Virtual Reality Supporting Physical Education Teaching in Brazilian Elementary Schools

Abstract

Virtual reality allows an immersive learning process which can support elementary school teachers to propose innovative and engaging pedagogical approaches. This work investigates the state of the art related to educational usage of VR through a systematic literature review, evaluating the opportunities to use this technology on physical education classes in Brazilian elementary schools. The main contributions of our work are: (i) a literature review; (ii) the proposal of a VR solution to support physical education teaching and (iii) the discussion on implementation steps.
