Abstract
Value cognition system (VCS) is a human-centric system to enable value cognition, i.e., sensing, understanding, and taking advantage of latent values of entities. Here, human’s talents for value cognition are elevated and activated using tools such as sensors, software for social simulation and data visualization, etc., we will develop newly. The mechanism of this system will be characterized by the spiral process of four phases: (1) sense: experience scenes in the real world (2) recollect: recollect scenes relevant to a confronted situation, (3) scenarization: imagine scenarios to live/work with entities high-lighted via recollection and visualizing the data taken in (1), and (4) co-elevation: communicate the imagined scenarios and create a scenario to take advantage of values of entities. The scenario obtained shall be put into action, returning to step (1). Studies on chance discovery so far correspond to VCS applied for transient events.
