Summary

An integrated system for measuring shape, color and reflection properties of 3D objects has been developed along with the methodology for creating a surface model with intrinsic visual properties assigned locally to that surface. We present a processing path for 3D reconstruction by means of the available 3D printing technology, together with an application optimized for viewing virtual models in realistic conditions. To show examples of data processing at successive stages we provide images and screenshots of digitally processed real cultural heritage objects (CHO). To show the process of model retrieval as a whole, we provide the final comparison of input and output data, i.e. the initial object and the final reconstruction - both printed and virtual model. We provide the overall evaluation of methodology used.
