Abstract
Within the Esprit Pharos project, four industrial simulation codes were ported to HPF1.1 to provide a test of the suitability of this language for handling realistic Fortran77 applications, and to estimate the effort involved. We describe here the port of one of these: the SEMC3D electromagnetic simulation code. An outline of the porting process, and results obtained on the Meiko CS2 are given.
