Abstract
This paper considers the implementation of a current control method for switched reluctance motors (SRMs) and presents a novel approach to the correlate and accurate on-line modeling of three phases, 6/4 an SRM drive. This paper is to present a new approach to the description of correlation between the electromagnetic torque and the excitation current with the rotor position in the SRMs. There was no evidence for significant changes in the electromagnetic characteristics (the flux linkage and torque) with correlation upon varying the excitation current, the main effects have been observed upon variation of the modifying the rotor position. The correlation between the electromagnetic torque and the excitation current with the rotor position were investigated. It must be noted that the magnetic equivalent circuit is conceptual in nature and therefore more appealing to studies and simulation for hysteresis and voltage control strategies.
