Abstract

Using a sample of 25.9×106 ψ(2S) decays acquired with the CLEO-c detector at the CESR e+e collider, we report branching fractions for the decays χcJpp¯π0, pp¯η, and pp¯ω, with J=0, 1, 2. Our results for B(χcJpp¯π0) and B(χcJpp¯η) are consistent with, but more precise than, previous measurements. Furthermore, we include the first measurement of B(χcJpp¯ω).

Candidate χcJ mass spectrum for (a) χcJpp¯π0 and (b) χcJpp¯η[γγ]. Points with error bars are data, the solid lines show the fitted functions, and the dashed lines represent the linear background components of the fits.

Results of the two-dimensional fit to M(π+ππ0) and M(pp¯π+ππ0) for the χcJpp¯π+ππ0 channel projected onto the χcJ candidate mass axis for three M(π+ππ0) regions: (a) 0.5410.553GeV/c2, (b) 0.7700.794GeV/c2, and (c) 0.5600.730GeV/c2. Points with error bars are data, the solid lines are projections of the total fitted function, the dashed lines are the summed background components of the fit, and the dotted lines show the planar background components.

Points with error bars are data, the solid line is a projection of the total fitted PDF, the dashed line is the summed background components of the fit, and the dotted line shows the planar background component.
