osgGap: scene graph library for mobile based on hybrid web app framework (DEMO)

Published: 19 November 2013 Publication History

Abstract

In this demonstration, we introduce a novel scene graph library for mobile devices based on hybrid web app framework, called osgGap (i.e., OpenSceneGraph [Burns and Osfield 2004] with PhoneGap [Adobe Systems 2009])' (see Fig. 1(a)). To show the applicability of osgGap in multiple mobile platforms, we present a number of demos including touch-based interactions and vision-based mobile AR with natural feature tracking. We perform the demos in two different mobile platforms, Android with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and iOS with the Apple iPad 2. Notice that, in each demo, we tested with a web app written in the same osgGap codes for the multiple mobile platforms.
