Abstract

SESoS 2022 provides researchers and practitioners with a forum to exchange ideas and experiences, analyze research and development issues, discuss promising solutions, and propose theoretical foundations for development and evolution of complex software-intensive systems, inspiring visions for the future of Software Engineering for Systems-of-Systems (SoS) and Software Ecosystems (SECO), as well as paving the way for a more structured community effort.

Deriving experiments from E-SECO software ecosystem in the technology transfer process for the livestock domain

The process of transferring technology from research institutes to industry involves benchmarking it in exhaustive experiments to assure it reaches the established quality criteria. This is also true for the livestock domain, in which the technologies ...

Integration challenges for digital twin systems-of-systems

Research and industry leverage digital twins to monitor and control (cyber-physical) systems in various domains. For their efficient engineering, these twins need to become Systems-of-Systems (SoS), in which digital twins of smaller systems (e.g., a ...

Optimization of anomaly detection in a microservice system through continuous feedback from development

Monitoring a microservice system may bring a lot of benefits to development teams such as early detection of run-time errors and various performance anomalies. In this study, we explore deep learning (DL) solutions for detection of anomalous system's ...

Exploring non-functional coupling in systems of systems

Many software systems, and especially systems of systems (SoS), depend on other systems to function correctly or are themselves composed of interdependent systems. In that context, behavioral changes in a dependency may have consequences for a dependent ...

Digital twin based fault analysis in hybrid-cloud applications

Hybrid clouds bring together the advantages of the on-premises, private, and public cloud services. Agility, privacy, and regulatory compliance are some of the advantages of hybrid clouds. However, the key characteristics of complex hybrid cloud ...

MicroGraphQL: a unified communication approach for systems of systems using microservices and GraphQL

Context: establishing forms of unified communication in Aknowledge Systems of Systems (SoS) is a difficult and complex task that requires constant studies by the developer on current versions of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) of other ...
