Collaborating for Student Success
In the last academic advising seminar, Implementing Proactive Advising Practices, we discussed strategies that academic advisers use to monitor student progress and send appropriate and timely outreach. Yet academic advisers are not alone in supporting students' academic success. This seminar will focus on how to leverage and engage other members of a student's support network to promote student success. Panelists will address how different success-oriented offices on campus can collaborate with academic advisers to support students.
Panelists will be Tammy Spevak, Associate Director, Academic Services and Retention, Penn State Hazleton; Chelsey Walls, Assistant Director, Penn State Chaiken Center for Student Success; Dr. Leah Zimmerman, Executive Director, Student Disability Resources.
Please review our Academic Advising Seminars Archive to view previous seminars. Many of these contain a recording of the presentation and additional notes and documentation.
