The 2022 Neuro-Inspired Computing Elements (NICE) Conference is the 9th annual meeting of researchers in the neural computing field. Like previous workshops, NICE 2022 will focus on the interplay between neural theory, neural algorithms, neuromorphic architectures and hardware, and applications for neural computing technology.
NICE aims to involve diverse participation from all over the world and bring together research communities with universities, government, and industry.
Pending the Covid-19 pandemic situation, NICE 2022 is planned to be a hybrid event with an in-person and virtual component. All talks and most of the tutorials will be accessible online.
Submission Guidelines
As a workshop, we encourage submissions describing work that is not yet published. Preference will be given towards submissions describing ambitious approaches to bringing neural inspiration into real world computing applications.
For submissions, we will accept either full length papers (8-10 pages) or an extended two page abstract (not including references) that will be reviewed by the program committee. The choice of paper format will not influence decisions. Papers should emphasize the novel aspects of the work and the potential impact on the neural computing community.
From these submissions we will invite a number of short talks, lightning talks, and poster presentations. The preferred mode of presentation should be noted on the submission site.
As with previous years, NICE is planning on publishing an online proceedings volume, details are below. The proceedings will include the papers and abstracts accepted as talks.
Details on 2022 NICE Workshop Conference Proceedings
* As with past years, the 2022 NICE proceedings were published and indexed through the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) International Conference Proceedings Series; ISBN 978-1-4503-9559-5
* Published proceedings and talks will be invited from exceptional submissions (both full length and extended abstracts), as selected by the program committee.
* Full-length papers will be peer reviewed for technical quality and clarity.
* Please see https://www.acm.org/publications/taps/word-template-workflow for formatting instructions for ACM's ICPS system. Easychair submissions should be a PDF of your paper, with camera ready versions (per the ACM instructions) due after acceptance.
