Abstract: Depuis 2008, la détérioration de l'environnement financier et ses effets sur l'économie réelle ont mis à rude épreuve les systèmes bancaires aux États-Unis et en Europe. La crise financière résultant de la crise des subprime s'est transmise à tous les segments des marchés financiers et les banques ont dû faire face à une crise de confiance qui a requis une intervention des pouvoirs publics. Comparé à d'autres pays de l'Union européenne, le système bancaire français a plutôt mieux résisté à la crise financière.
