zalcitabine (countable かつ uncountable, 複数形 zalcitabines)

1. (pharmacology) A drug C₉H₁₃N₃O₃ which inhibits the replication of HIV and is formerly used in the treatment of AIDS, especially in combination with zidovudine. It is a synthetic analog of a pyrimidine nucleoside, acting as a reverse transcriptase inhibitor.
