Daphnia galeata

Daphnia galeata mendotae is a small species of crustacean in a group of organisms referred to as zooplankton. It is common to many parts of North America. The name originates from Lake Mendota near Madison, Wisconsin, USA. See Daphnia for more information on the genus of this organism.
