Dimitrios Melissanidis (born June 15 1946 in Nikaia Greece) is a Greek businessman and Oil and Shipping tycoon. Dimitrios Melissanidis is the owner and founder of Aegean Marine Petroleum which is the second largest Oil company in Greece. Melissanidis has been a member of the Forbes 500 list of the world's 500 richest people[2]

Dimitrios Melissanidis was born in Nikaia but was raised in Athens.
He was AEK's thirtieth(30th) and thirty second(32nd) president,serving from 1992-1992 and 1994-1995 respectively.
Alleged links to the Mafia
In 2001 there were allegations that Melissanidis has connections in Mafia business alongside Italian Mafia Franco Stronati, however Melissandis has denied these claims and has never been charged relating Mafia business. However Melissanidis is close friends with Italian Mafia Francesco Castellini and occasionally contact each other.
