Lupercus (mythology)

Lubercus or Luberkus was a god in Roman Mythology.

Lubercus was a protector of the farmers, harvesting and packs of wild animals. Every year in 15 of the February was his cult, Lupercalia.

He was helping the wolf to take care of Romylus and thats why Lupercalia was a celebration that helped pregnant women.

In Greek mythology he was counterpart of the god Pan.
