It is the western most village of the group of 84 villages that make up the area known as [[Chhachh]]. Mansar's population areis exclusively Muslim, and the gentry has historically been Maliks of the Qutb Shahi [[Awan (Pakistan)|AwanMuslim]], clan.and Peoplesmostly ofbelongs different [[caste]]s liketo [[Awan (Pakistan)|Awan]], [[Maliar|Malyaar]], [[Mughal (tribe)|Mughal]], Shaikh, Khan are present in Mansar. Mansar has a population of about 5000. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Mansar has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 61%. In Mansar, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age{{Citation needed[[Pathans|date=SeptemberPathan]] 2007}}tribes.

There are two government Middle school for boys and girls in Mansar, as well as four private schools. The F.G High School and Army Public College ([[APSACS]]) is also present in cantonment area.

The [[Shrine]]sshrines of the [[Sufi]] saint "Sin Kalo Baba" (سائیں کلو بابا), revered for his piety, and his disciple "Sayyad Anwar Shah" (سید انور شاہ) are also present in Mansar. There is also a tomb of a disciple of Sayyad Anwar Shah, named "Bhai Mohammad Alam" (بھائی محمد عالم).
