Copied material?
Added here in 2008 by a one-edit IP address located in Italy. Same as part of this page: Screenplay Coverage © 2008 Script-Fix, LLC. Removed today, then restored. The dates don't clarify the matter, but the fact that the text is so polished makes me think it was copied. ==Difference vs treatment ==
This article needs to explain the difference between a screenplay, a treatment and scene cards.

using modern spreadsheet calculation software?
I wonder if in modern times spreadsheet calculation software like excel is used for screenplays or even storyboards? nothing seems to be more useful for calculating time of a movie. the various sorts of content, including pictures, could easily be accomodated in columns while each take with its times (durations and their sums in two columns, scene-numbering in a third, maybe budgeting in a fourth) would be one line (or two: slug line and the rest on a second line). the consequences of changes could easily be seen and reacted to. --HilmarHansWerner (talk) 23:24, 17 February 2024 (UTC)

Cleanup of § Further reading
I removed two links from Further reading:
* - Paperback
* Luca Bandirali, Enrico Terrone (2009), Il sistema sceneggiatura. Scrivere e descrivere i film, Turin (Italy): Lindau. 978-88-7180-831-4.
The Tarantino biography I removed because it's not clear to me why this biography is a suitable resource for further reading on screenplays specifically. My reasoning is also based on advice in WP:Further reading (an explanatory essay, not Wikipedia guidelines per se):

The reasons I removed the Bandirali and Terrone link are also articulated in the section of the Further reading essay:

It might also be worth noting that many of the links in this section, including the two I removed, were originally part of a general References section (that is, without inline citations). About 12 years ago, a bot .
