===Ava battle plan===
The Ava court hastily drew up a plan. Pressed by the soon-to-arrive rainy season, they decided to recruit the eastern kingdom of [[Lan Na]] to open a second front from Pegu's east. However, their embassy to [[Chiang Mai]] veered into Hanthawaddy border, and were arrested. Razadarit released the embassy back to Ava, with the letter to the king of Lan Na unsealed.<ref name=geh-91/><ref name=my-1-332-333>Maha Yazawin Vol. 1 2006: 332–333</ref>
