Hi, you seem to be a good editor. I would appreciate it if you could take a look at the Skogssamer article that I have created. For any improvements that you can find. Thanks.--BabbaQ (talk) 16:11, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- Done@BabbaQ Thanks for asking me. I gave a quick look at your article and I think it is a good beginning. I would suggest the following:
- Sources and Citations-- It is ok to have some of them in Swedish, but you need more in English, just because this is the English side of wikipedia and most readers would not be able to understand them. Also, if you want more credibility, you need to read and include more scholarly works on your bibliography and notes-- in English. There are a few of them in English (even dissertations). If you have some difficulties in accessing these sources, let me know and I will pass them to you.
- The usual: include external links, upload sources (music, pics, documents) to Wikimedia and link them to the article, etc.
- Relevancy: You should work on the historical background and also open two new sections with the purpose of highlighting its relevancy. These two should be on (1) any controversy there might be or have been on these people, and (2) the legacy and contribution to the region (Sweden, Europe, etc).
I have classified the article as "stub." As you work on the citation, it should move up to "start." Hope this helps. Historian (talk) 16:49, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. My edit removed the hiatus status and added an end date for the comic Templar, AZ. The comic has not been updated in more than a year and the artist has not expressed any intention of returning to the work. Good morning. I received a message from you regarding editing the Devizes page, where I added a sentence about the Devizes Budo Club. This was not a test and was intended to stay on that page. This was, however, my first ever edit on Wiki. I also intend to create a new Wiki page for Devizes Budo Club in the fullness of time and write about the Club's long history and it's connections with Devizes, etc. Because I'm obviously very new at this I will endeavour to read up on the creation of a new page before any attempt is made. RE: Aussie light horse
I did not add any new information, the 2/14th's article itself says they are armoured reconnaissance, and there is no reason for an article link to say "australian version of lav 25" when the link provided links directly to the aslav. Not to mention the ASLAV is not based on the LAV-25 in the first place.

Incorrect Reversion on Kiernan Shipka
Unfortunately, your routing tool has falsely identified my edit on Kiernan Shipka as a test or vandalism. The article refers to Kiernan's post-Mad Men acting - I repeat, acting - as post-production. Post-production refers to editing, sound editing, color correction, distribution, and so forth, and not acting, which is purely a production activity. Further, any reference to post-production experience in regards to Shipka is highly inaccurate - she has only acted and performed music. My edit, as originally made, is correct, and the former version, as well as the subsequent reversion, is both incorrect and confusing. The sooner it can be corrected again, the sooner the issue can be settled. --140.192.108.187 (talk) 21:14, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

Edit's made to Doctor Who Heaven Sent
I don't have a username by the way, I just edit pages when I see things I don't think are correct or need adding. I re-watched the episode today that the article concerns and I noticed on the synopsis a segment is written in the wrong point in the article. It mentions that the Doctor realised the castle and the Veil are made to scare him, which is correct, but it is written in the article at the point when he first sees them. However his realisation doesn't occur until he jumps out of a window, dries off and has time alone to collect his thoughts. I felt this was worth altering as though this point is maybe of little significance, it is in the wrong place nonetheless

decimal representation
Hi Caballero1967,
I received a message that you undid a change in my edit regarding decimal representation of real numbers. Could you explain this step?
Look, the article gives two examples of decimal representations: the finite representations, and the periodic ones.
My edit added a line that said that those two examples together define exactly the rational numbers.
Isn't this a fitting remark? Any reason why you threw it out?

Effecting the least fix to Wikipedia is a fool's errand.
What need is there for a reliable source? How about the common sense of an Icelandic dictionary?
It's interesting that, if I find "2 +2 = 5" in a Wikipedia article and fix it, some administrator complains. The enforcement is uneven and capricious. And you have the chutzpah to expect financial contributions to underwrite this junk? 73.46.127.40 (talk) 00:14, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

Diamond Multimedia
Diamond Multimedia is a subsidiary of TUL if you look on this website.(http://www.tul.com.tw/global/about_tul_glance.aspx). You can see that TUL has a subsidiary somewhere in California, the same as Diamond Multimedia (http://www.diamondmm.com/about-diamond-multimedia.html). Other companies also correspond with these blue dots: Club3D in the Netherlands, Powercolor in Taiwan and in China and VTX3D somewhere in Russia. (If you go to vtx3d.com, you have to choose a language: Global, Turkish, Polish or Russian. You can assume that it mostly serves these markets). Also this (http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/65852-does-diamond-multimedia-make-good-gpus/). Here a user said: 'Diamond Multimedia, Powercolour, VTX3D & Club 3D are all subsidiaries of TUL Corporation.' I know it's a user and not a reliable source, but it's just someone sharing the same point of view. The problem is that the TUL Corporation has a complex brand system and is pretty unclear about which brands they currently own. Information about them is quite scarce, but from these findings I would conclude that Diamond Multimedia, Powercolour, VTX3D and Club3D are all subsidiaries of the TUL Corporation. A couple of days ago you removed my edit from the bottom of the steam turbine page where I mentioned that the Wasp class still uses conventionally powered steam turbines, and the article clearly states that the U.S. Navy does not do that anymore. So please, in the future, please make sure the edits you remove are not actual real information and that the articles don't become hypocritical because of it. Done Historiador (talk) 16:35, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
with the exception of one thing I did not remove any information. Not one thing i removed was sourced. if you take the time to examine my edits, i simply removed information that was repetitious. If you look, for example, at the Completely Unsourced paragraph about the alleged xiongnu origins of the Kim family--which i am a believer of--they are simply the same statements repeated again and again. the section following immediately thereafter states that jin midi or kim il ji was of xiongnu origin. while jin midi might have been an ancestor to the silla royal house, jin himself was not a member of the uiseong clan, but probably an ancestor of most of the other clans already mentioned. the aforementioned reference to xiongnu origins were quite adequate. The other bit of information i removed was in the first introductory paragraph where it states that kim means 'dried seaweed' in korean, while in chinese it means 'gold'. This is flatly false. Kim in fact means gold in both languages chinese or korean - it is simply pronounced differently depending on the context of its usage. If you feel that the content that i dropped merits retention, feel free to bring it back. Please do not, however, revert the entire article to the poorly written state it was in. 2602:306:CDF4:62E0:214:51FF:FEE8:1435 (talk) 16:48, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

I edited the Fish Hoek page and am a little unsure what is actually expected. I grew up in Fish Hoek. Went to nursery school at Mrs Hamilton's and then St Imelda's. I lived in 13th Ave opposite the Soccer Fields, before the new school was built. and knew female Navy personnel who lived in the Homestead. During the 1970's, it was common knowledge that all the sports clubs in Fish Hoek sold alcohol as did some of the restaurants. The Homestead was slightly different as the bar was available to the Swans and their guests. The general consensus at the time was that it was probable that more alcohol was being consumed in Fish Hoek, than the surrounding towns, despite the prohibition. Anybody growing up in Fish Hoek a the time would agree. I for one enjoyed many an evening drinking in the sports clubs, the Homestead and some of the restaurants. Therein lay the irony of the situation, something that deserves a mention.
In terms of a citation, I am the source. These are my memories. There is nothing else I can refer to. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kalkhoek (talk • contribs) 18:20, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Kalkhoek: yours was a difficult one to revert. Ours is just an attempt to keep WP as referred as possible, and I would prefer having all your information here even without sources rather than having none. In cases like yours, I suggest that you re-include the info it, wording it in a less casual manner, include an edits summary, and follow it up with explanatory comments in the article's Talk Page. Thanks so much for your contribution and for the feedback here. Cheers, Done Caballero/Historiador (talk) 18:27, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
To whom it may concern,
I am writing in response to you reverting my decision to edit the Captain of England to 'Vacant' from Chris Robshaw.
If you were a true Rugby fan, and in this case, a credible editor, you would have stood by my recent edit. I find it incredibly dissapointing and it is most frustrasting that you chose to revert my edit back to the former England captain Chris Robshaw. You will be in no doubt aware that the Incumbant Coach Eddie Jones has dropped him as Captain and his successor has yet to be announced. I therefore find it very hard to understand why you would disregard my edit and refert it back to how it was, as my edit was in the Interest of Rugby fans as well as everyone who has the right to read the page.
I would therefore invite you to offer clarification on the issue, and how it wasn't "constructive" enough. I do hope this can shed some light on the situation — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.139.191.227 (talk) 20:49, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
- @86.139.191.227: thanks for responding. I really appreciate it. The reason for the revert, as explained in the message I left in your Talk Page, is simply that there was no explanation, neither in the edit summary nor in the article's Talk page. A source to the news about the change would have also helped. My work as a volunteer is to simply catch changes inserted in WP that are not explained nor are sourced, and if they are still correct, to invited you to return to the article and re-include the info with either an explanation or a source. Keep in mind that thousands of edits enter WP every hour and only a handful of individuals are patrolling them. So, we cannot all be experts in each topic, but we can ask contributors to provide explanations or sources. I just undid my own revert, and the information you included is back on the page. Thanks again. Cheers, Done Caballero/Historiador (talk) 20:58, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi, I am a student at the University of Tuebingen and my task was to shorten the article without losing the meaning. This is why I didn't add any sources, because I only edited the text.

- LeonardoArnold, Thanks for responding and writing. I removed the change because it had no explanation or source, and because when I consulted the pro-reference, it sustained the number the WP article had already. But I am not an expert. I just responded to a potential vandalism flag (triggered often by changes without explanation or sources). And I am more than willing to heed your thoughts. Perhaps the source previous editors and I have consulted is not reliable or mistaken. Please, help us make this article better by providing a better source. Thanks. Adolescence
Hi, I know you changed my edits on the article, "Adolescence". My age span was defined by the World Health Organization and preteens also have their peers and are growing up. How should I change it maybe or anything? Thanks. Boogsiedowa (talk) 13:55, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
@Boogsiedowa: Thanks for your contributions and contacting me. I did change them all, but only noticed your source in the last of your edits. And you mentioned it in the text without a link or a proper citation. Now, your changes seem legitimate to me, but if you give me the source, I can restore your input and cite them properly. You can also do it on your own by following instructions here and here. Let me know. Cheers Caballero/Historiador (talk) 14:02, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
Boogsiedowa (talk · contribs), there are different definitions of adolescence and the age range is somewhat debatable, which the lead (introduction) of the Adolescence article makes clear. Despite this, the lead also makes it clear that adolescence is most commonly associated with the teenage years. Because of all of this, we should not be putting the specified age range of 10-19 in the lead. Similar goes for your changes to the Preadolescence article; you should not be changing sourced material to unsourced material...as you did there. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 14:52, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
- Flyer22 thanks for the useful information. Please, @Boogsiedowa:, let us know if you want to contribute in any other way and if have questions. Cheers, Done Caballero/Historiador (talk) 14:56, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Edit to History of the Jews in Bahrain article.
Hello, I was wondering why you removed a recent addition I made (I was not logged in as I was using my work computer) to the article History of the Jews in Bahrain. in your message you said you felt the addition was not constructive. The King of Bahrain inviting a Rabbi with official standing to the country for a government sanctioned Jewish religious ceremony is a major development in Jewish relations with the kingdom. Why would it not be appropriate (or to use your word, "constructive") to include it in the "Modern Times" section of the article?
Thanks,

@Caballero1967 Thank you for your response, and I appreciate the help. I've been trying to contribute more to Wikipedia, especially in articles pertaining to Israel and modern Judaism (as this is my specialty). Was it a problem with my citation that made my edit appear as vandalism? I would like to revert the edit, but would appreciate any suggestions for how to improve it as to not create confusion again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mulecorps (talk • contribs) 18:05, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
- Mulecorps I am super glad that you are contributing to WP. We need more scholarly type of interventions. Regarding your two IP contributions, if you look at them again [2] you will see that the combination of no explanation and the elimination of a chunk of text (which included sources) is what triggered the vandalism flag. I just checked the reliability of the source you suggested and it seems fine, but while you included one source, you deleted other four. Perhaps it was by mistake.
- The citation guidelines are useful (tutorial), and if you have questions about the reliability of the sources, you can check here. There is even a noticeboard where you can consult others about the sources or take a source-debate to more experienced editors (here). For citing, I like using a wiki gadget called ProveIt, which you can activate in your User Preferences. It makes citing much easier (there is a bug with the dating, I think). Please, let me know if this was useful. Learning even the basic steps is often daunting, particularly for people coming from the Humanities with little tech experience. But perhaps you are more comfortable in this environment. Cheers, Caballero/Historiador (talk) 18:31, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

London Oratory Rugby
There is a slight mistake in the Rugby section. The first rugby tour was to Ireland in 1970. I (Selwyn Fernandes) happened to captain the side and we were the forerunners of the rugby teams as it was previously a football school. We played under Pete Coyne and Tom Hartigan Vice Head later). We played St Joe's Academy and a Regional Munster side, winning both games. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Selferns (talk • contribs) 16:04, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

If the pics are yours, or if they are given for Wikipedia's use you can follow the instructions to upload them here. I can help you with both steps if you need me to. Thanks again. Caballero, I updated the GDP wiki pages some time ago to replace a wrong definition of GDP by the OECD / World Bank definition. I wonder why you think your new definition is superior to OECD. Is there a citation for your new definition? Is it identical to the OECD definition? Why does it not specify 'resident production units (the main meaning of the GDP in GDP which distinguishes it from GNP)
I also think the opening paragraphs should be for non-economists and should clearly and quickly address the principal misconception about GDP which is that it is a 'top-line revenue' total (as you say GO is, a useful addition to the article). With an example. Regards, Hugh Small Hugh Small 14:32, 26 December 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hugh Small (talk • contribs)

The spelling in Devanagari script vi-bhaa-ga. you can go to google translate and type in ग to get a transliteration, it will be -ga. Hi, Caballero1967. Just wanted to let you know that I reverted your recent edit to The Son of Neptune. I think the burden is now on you to to leave the page as it was, without the phrase in question, until you make some case that the edit you propose has merit. Rks13 (talk) 21:31, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Rks13: I am confident you will do well. Please, follow the link to my response. And don't worry, I had not violated any rule. Caballero//Historiador ☊ 22:47, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Hi, Caballero1967 - I got your message re: my recent edit to "Domestic terrorism."
I have to plead not guilty here - I did NOT remove any content that was already there.
What I did do was to ADD several examples to the U.S. domestic terrorism section (i.e., 2002 Los Angeles International Airport shooting, Beltway sniper shootings, 2007 Fort Dix plot, 2010 Times Square car bomb attempt, 2020 Portland car bomb attempt and 2015 Chattanooga shootings). When I looked up the article this morning in order to respond to your message, I was surprised to find that ALL of those entries had been removed for some reason, which puzzles me - if you look at each of the underlying articles which I linked to, it is clear that each one was a valid example of domestic terrorism (i.e., each one happened in the United States and each one was clearly politically motivated). Would it be possible to please put those additions back?
One other thing which I did do was I reversed the order of two existing items on that list in order to put them into a more proper chronological order - I put the D.C. Five, which took place in December of 2009, ahead of Farooque Ahmed, whose incident did not take place till October 2010 (the latter was originally placed above the former, which is out of sequence since everything else is in correct chronological order).
Those are the only changes which I made to the article, and I stand by them as being valid and correct; as I said before, I removed NO existing material.
Thanks

Two questions
Hi my former IP address is 2601:282:8002:299B:E871:985F:8181:56C and i have turned a new leaf and started to edit good. I have two questions 1) cna you help me on wikipedia and 2) can you help me become an admin?
Thanks, Awsomegamer75795 (talk) 07:53, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Awsomegamer75795:, thanks for the encouraging message. I am glad you have decided to follow a more constructive path. I am not sure about helping you to become an admin (the candidacy is an onerous process, the workload is truly heavy, and the position lends itself for devastating mistakes), but I can try to help you with your contributions to WP as long as they are done in good faith (WP:GF), you read the guidelines and become familiar with the system, and I have the time. Begin with this page, please. Caballero//Historiador ☊ 18:25, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
List of Missiles by Country
On June 6th I edited a misformatted table on the page List of Missiles by Country. You reverted the edit stating that I had not cited any reliable sources. However (1) the source for the misformatted table was already cited in the line directly above it prior to my edit, (2) I did not remove that citation, and (3) I used that same source for the corrected table. This was my first Wikipedia edit, so if I did something wrong please let me know. 71.170.247.36 (talk) 17:26, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- @71.170.247.36: Thanks for the explanation. Please, take a look at the page again. Make sure that everything is the way you think it should be and when making any contribution/change, make sure to provide a full explanation in the edits summary. It would help understand the changes. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. Caballero//Historiador ☊ 18:15, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
Reverted recent edits to "Name days in Greece"
Hello,
You recently reverted my changes to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Name_days_in_Greece and I would like to propose that they are valid and should be restored.
The References section of the page includes a single link, to "Greek Name Days for the Year 2015" (http://www.namedays.gr/index_uk.php). That webpage mentions both of the additions I made. So since that was already an existing reference, I didn't repeat it in my addition. That was probably a mistake on my part, I understand it would have made your job easier and perhaps would have avoided this exchange! :-)
Do you agree that my modification can be restored?
Thank you,
Yannis
- @Yannislionis: Thanks for a clear and sound explanation. I agree and will revert my own revert. I would ask you, however, to include such explanations in the edit summaries in future contributions. Thanks, again. Caballero//Historiador ☊ 16:35, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

Attori90
Hi, i see your undo my change, there was a change on president heading of the university, the original text of the message is in french and can be find here [3], thanks. Unsigned: 13:35, January 9, 2016 Attori90
- @Attori90:, thanks for the explanation and the source. I have looked at it and at the institution's information and it seems you are correct. I will now proceed to re-include your change, but with a slight change in the spelling: the last name only with the first letter capitalized. Thanks. Codex Vaticanus
If you do not know Latin nor know anything about palaeography nor medieval manuscripts - and from your reverts I can see you do not - nor you can use Google to verify the misspelled quotation, then I wonder, how can you feel authorised to do the reverts? Regards. 84.40.214.223 (talk) 01:06, 10 January 2016 (UTC) PS. I do not expect an answer, I only expect that you now go to a mirror sometime, look yourself in the eyes, ask youself this question, and contemplate the (obvious) answer. 84.40.214.223 (talk) 01:06, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- @84.40.214.223: How delightful! There is a message in your Talk Page for you here and a follow-up discussion in the article's Talk Page. Continue to spread your love around (WP:IUC). Caballero//Historiador ☊ 17:20, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
Edits on SRA
Hello
You have advised me that you have reverted an edit on the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. Please note that this was nothing to do with me. I have no interest in the SRA, nor have I had any dealings with the firm in Reading (150+ miles from where I live) which was the subject of the edit. I'm not sure how you identified this edit as mine, but it isn't, and your reversion needs to be advised to the correct individual.
Terry White
- @94.4.248.173: Terry, thanks for writing. It this were not you, it may mean you share an IP address with others. Notice, please, the message below, which accompanied the one I left in your talk page.
"If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices."
Let me know how can I help. Cheers, Caballero//Historiador ☊ 12:56, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
Editing
Hello, the page was edited to remove false information. It was not a mistake. Thank you.
- @Sanziophan:, you should sign all of your comments in Talk pages. Please, refer to the article's Talk Page. You did not offer an explanation (WP:EDS) for deleting well-sourced information. I checked each one of those you deleted, and found them to be correct, at least, according to the sources in the article and beyond. You offered new information and citations, but you should have discussed these big changes in the article's Talk Page, especially if they are sourced. So, as I did before, I invite you to offer your explanations on the article's Talk page and, unless there is a weighty reason, do not delete information in the article that is well-sourced. Unless well-justified, in Wikipedia we prefer a more cautious editing practice, one that acknowledges the work of others. See (WP:EDIT). So, I did revert your revert, but only because you need to justify the deletion of material that I found it to be well-sourced. Otherwise, it is tantamount to vandalism (WP:VAN) or disruptive editing (WP:DE). Caballero//Historiador ☊ 00:29, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
Chiwetel Ejiofor Edit
Hi there,
In reference to your recent message about my edit to Chiwetel Ejiofor's page not being constructive, I'm sure I don't have to advise you that it was a factual edit. He was previously an OBE, but since he was subsequently elevated to a CBE, this 'title' takes precedence over the former OBE and therefore the initials 'CBE' should correctly be suffixed to his name, instead of 'OBE' which it was previously. This is certainly correct and indeed every other British individual that I have looked at who shares such an honours history has been granted this update.
I must say that I do object to my small but correct change being dismissed due apparently to not being "constructive" and subsequently being told that if I want to "experiment" I should use the Sandbox.
Thank you for your patronizing words...
Steve
- @5.64.182.198: Steve: Thanks for writing and calling my attention to this error. The words were not intended to patronize. Sorry. It is always helpful to include a summary and a reference with your edits. I fixed the article and included a source to support your change. Look here. Thanks again for your contribution. Feluda edit
Thank you so much for your response. I was not aware of the edit summary thing. But none of the Feluda story mentions as to what school he studied. I am not sure what made you think his alma mater was Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. I would be pleased if could provide with a reference or in absence of such evidences, remove the details of his alma mater.
- @103.252.164.134: Thanks for your reply. I left a comment in the article's Talk Page that you should follow up with. I suggest you look into the article's history for the user/editor who included that info in the article, and start from there. Let me know how else to help.
