Thanks for your anti-vandal efforts on W. S. Gilbert! It's appreciated. Adam Cuerden talk 15:45, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
- No problem. It is bound to happen while on the main page. But the next day the vandals are few and many good editors have found the article. While being featured on the main page brings short term hassle, in the end it ussually benefits the article. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 16:27, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh my god, I am so, so sorry! It was really a mistake! I didn't realize that I had altered it. Don't think I remember either.....but nonetheless, please forgive me! Did you already fix it? I will, if it hasn't.....I'm very sorry! Kyo cat(T)•(C) 22:27, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
- I know what happened. I was adding that line when you were posting. The software is supposed to catch that sort of thing, but it sometimes fails. No worries, this happens sometimes, nobodies fault(except mabye a programmer somewhere hehe). I will make a note on your talk page so this will not be misinterpreted in the future. Thanks for your quick response(yes I fixed it). HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 22:30, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for being nice and humoured, it is not always the case here... Excommunication came immediately to my mind, I used to be a catholic cristian, a very long time ago. Regards, Alvesgaspar 18:59, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
- Hehe, an understandable misunderstanding, english is a very ambiguos language. It is easy to be misunderstood. I also appreciate your civility when you attempted to clarify what I said. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 19:01, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've done another round of ref cleanup on Ethics of eating meat. Major changes are:
- Converted everything to {{cite}} templates
- Hunted down complete references for things that just had an author name
Hope you don't mind! Waitak 03:43, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
- You rock. I saw that and was impressed. It looks alot better with all the unified formatting. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 03:57, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi HighInBC,
No problemo, my pleasure. But a word of advice, don't worry about building yourself a real fancy light tent (although that would probably be really good), I just use a white piece of A2 art drawing paper and wait for overcast days (diffuse light)! However, I must congratulate you on your choice of digicam, the S3 is a very nice little camera! --Fir0002 04:26, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
- Thanks for the tips. I can certainly see your point, my friend built a light tent and it did not produce maricles. We get alot of overcast in Victoria. I do like the S3, it is fast and gives alot of control. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 16:12, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

- Me too. Thanks. I agree with the unprotection as it is not good to leave something protected indefinetly. HighInBC (Need help? Askme) 17:33, 20 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes I had chased him from 840 which he has a history of vandalising, allegedly in the name of real herb users, being double the strength of 420 etc etc. Ho hum, SqueakBox 00:08, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
- Yes I know, I smoke pot and I can assure you it is not the herb that makes him like that, it is a personality choice. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 00:10, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Although I don't see Mr Stabby going my way, you and your wife sound like the kind of people I could have a drink and smoke with - let me know if you're ever in the UK, and good luck with that san fan thing. Dave 03:52, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
(Feel free to add this to your outside assements bit...)
- Thanks, I am glad that my opinion on an article has not damaged our chances at friendship. It is unlikely that we will be in the UK anytime soon. However, we are very cheap, and will definatly call on you for a free place to sleep before renting a hotel if we are ever there. I like to drink and smoke(not tobacco) in moderation, and find it is a great way to get to know someone.
- Victoria is really the Britain of the west, we have the same climate and alot of old Victorian buildings. So, if you are ever here we have an extra mattress. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 05:12, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
He needs to be blocked for vandalism, please see his contributions, and the username is the biggest give away.
thanks,

- I am not an administrator. If I was I would not block that user. Your warning[7] was not appropriate, please read WP:BITE. The user created an article that may not meet standards, and did some test jibberish which the user then removed. This is not vandalism, it is good faith editing. I have removed your warning and replaced it with a welcome.
- Now that I am done going through that users contributions I will go through yours. Please learn the was is and what is not vandalism before giving out warnings. The BlatentVandal tag is used only for blatant vandalism. WP:VANDAL#What_vandalism_is_not describes this in detail. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 15:53, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hello Ryan. Here is your nomination: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/HighInBC 2nd nom. As you know, you should first answer the questions and then post the nom on the RfA site. You might also want to polish the grammar in the nom a little, I am a bit tired already... Good luck! --Tone 18:44, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
- Wow, once more intro the breach! Thank you. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 18:54, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I noticed your remarks on Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Discuss and Vote; I would appreciate it if you could take a look at WP:DDV, and indicate if it accurately represents the way Wikipedia works (and feel free to reword it if it doesn't). Basically it states that AFD (etc) are not decided by vote count, and in general voting is discouraged (but not forbidden). Thanks. (Radiant) 10:44, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
- I think WP:DDV is a fine essay. I agree with it's philosohy. It makes an important statement at the begining saying Decisions on Wikipedia are made by consensus, which is formed through debate. For this reason, it is preferred on Wikipedia to discuss issues rather than formally voting on them
- Good start, something I have said so many times I am going to make a macro. It explains that core policies are not negotiable through discussion. The rest of it goes into advice for people with a lack of understanding of the proccess.
- I would support this, I always thought WP:DDV was guideline until recently when the Wikipedia:Discuss and Vote came up. It does need to be codefied as often people don't understand the implications of WP:NOT#DEMOCRACY and WP:CONSENSUS. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 14:15, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
