Carolyn Reidy (2 May 1949[1] – 12 May 2020) was president and CEO of the American publishing company Simon & Schuster.

Carolyn Kroll was born in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Henry August Kroll and his wife, Mildred Josephine (née Mencke)[1] She attended Middlebury College and Indiana University. She married Stephen Reidy in 1974, and began her career in publishing in 1975, with Random House.[1]

Reidy was named the industry's Person of the Year by the trade publication Publisher Weekly in 2019.[2]

Reidy died from a heart attack on 12 May 2020, aged 71.[2]
