Rangamati Government High School (Bengali: রাঙ্গামাটি সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়), also known as RGHS is a public government high school located in Rangamati Sadar, Rangamati. It is the first operating high school in Rangamati and Chittagong Hill Tracts.[3] It was established in 1890 during the British Raj era.
The school provides secondary education following the national curriculum. The exact location of this school is Old Police Line Road, Reserve Mukh, Reserve Bazar, Rangamati Sadar, Rangamati, Chittagong, Bangladesh.
History
Rangamati Government High School was established in 1890 during the British Raj era. The school was redesigned and rebuilt in 2015.[citation needed]
Facilities
Buildings
Standing on a 13.16-acre total area, the school has five academic buildings.[4] Four of these buildings are used as classrooms. The other building is mainly for the school staff and the headmaster. The teacher's room is on the second floor of one of the buildings. There are a total of 17 classrooms where classes are taken.[5]
