Citations and Clean Up

I just completed a major overhaul, including adding citations and cleaning up unverifiable, incorrect, and irrelevant content. This should significantly improve the quality of this article, which was much needed. Promethazine is a very widely used medication and until recently there has not been sufficient documentation regarding it on Wikipedia, especially regarding citations. Editing Error

Something is wrong with the first paragraph, and it looks like an error created in an attempt to restore or excise previous text. I'm not knowledgeable enough to edit on this entry, but someone should fix it.Cernansky 20:07, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Indications

Removed: For severe Morning sickness - as an older drug with a greater experience of use during pregnancy, it is generally preferred to newer agents.

This may or may not be true. My drug book states: "Promethazine, owing to its pharmacological effects, has caused or may be suspected of causing harmful effects on the human fetus or neonate without causing malformations. These effects may be reversible. When promethazine has been given in high doses during late pregnancy, promethazine has caused prolonged neurological disturbances in the infant. Promethazine should be used in pregnancy only if the potential benefits to the patient are weighed against the possible risk to the fetus.".

Reinserted - very much true in UK, and ref provided. And no requirment to have any specific qualification to contribute in wikipedia - but must WP:Cite from WP:Reliable sources to WP:Verify in a WP:NPOV manner. Anyway most morning sickness in UK is managed by General Practictioners and not Obstetricians. David Ruben ^Talk 01:04, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Promethazine and Angiotensin?

Does anybody know of a possible connection between the two? It came up in a practical report and I can't seem to find any information about it- the only things I can find come from drug information websites which warn of a contraindication of promethazine in conjunction with ACE inhibitors. 131.170.90.2 (talk) 06:26, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
