Politicians arrested and charges with corruption

Hi Jayantanth!
I opened the article Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur today and saw that it has become a former featured article as written on the discussion page of the article. We will have to make improvements to it. With regards, Guitarist(talk|contributions)21:09, 1 December 2024 UTC [refresh]

Wikimedia Stories Project

Hello,

My name is Victor Grigas, and I'm a storyteller at the Wikimedia foundation. We're telling stories of Wikipedia users, editors, donors, programmers and staff to paint a picture of who uses Wikipedia - for the 2011 fundraiser.

I am in the process of planning a trip to India to gather stories from Indian Wikipedians in face-to-face interviews (possibly on video).

My primary goal is to conduct 15-20 interviews, and hopefully enough of my interviews will make compelling stories that will effectively solicit donations from the public. These stories may also be used for other communication purposes by the foundation.

I found your userpage on a list of prolific Wikipedians and thought I’d reach out to you. Prolific editing is always a good story to tell!

If you are interested in participating, please contact me via my email:

vgrigas@wikimedia.org

Thank you for your time!

Victor

Page Curation update

Hey all :). We've just deployed another set of features for Page Curation. They include flyouts from the icons in Special:NewPagesFeed, showing who reviewed an article and when, a listing of this in the "info" flyout, and a general re-jigging of the info flyout - we've also fixed the weird bug with page_titles_having_underscores_instead_of_spaces in messages sent to talkpages, and introduced CSD logging! As always, these features will need some work - but any feedback would be most welcome.

Hello Jayanta Nath, This is to talk on your page about Bangladeshi Indian The term Bangladeshi Indian NOT from my brain grey cell and I NEVER CREATED SUCH ARTICLE. Somebody else is the creator and I Found this article someday and so I used it on my user page, and I never claimed it as nationality I went on facts. PLEASE DO NOT SPEAK WHATEVER YOU FEEL LIKE! To mention AGAIN, Bangladeshi people living in present India are known as Bangladeshi Indian. Merging it with Bangladeshi diaspora is senseless when you have an article specifically about Bangladeshi diaspora to India as Bangladeshi Indian. In such case for example you should also merge pages like Indian American with Indian diaspora? or Nepali Indian with Nepali diaspora?? It is all senseless, PLEASE THINK IN REALITY FACTS AND SENCE! The term Bangladeshi Indian connotes a different meaning compared to widely used terms such as British Bangladeshi and Bangladeshi American since it is undocumented and is perceived by the Bharatiya Janata Party as upsetting the communal demographic balance in several parts of India. The more is on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Bangladeshi_Indian. Thank you. BijoyChakrabarty 20:10, 3 July 2013 (BST)/19:40, 3 July 2013 (IST)
