Reminder to participate in Wikipedia research
Hello,
I recently invited you to take a survey about administration on Wikipedia. If you haven’t yet had a chance, there is still time to participate– we’d truly appreciate your feedback. The survey is anonymous and should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement.
Take the survey here.
Kind Regards,

Hi Ritchie333. I don't mean to be argumentative, but would you mind checking your reversion of my recent edit to The Yes Album and explain a couple of things? First, i didn't add Discogs as a source, so referring to WP:RSDISCOGS in your summary is a bit...insulting, especially as Discogs is still there as a reference in the exact cite you reverted; maybe you intended to remove it altogether? Second, far as i can tell you have put back an incorrect CS1 template, as "Cite AV media notes" is used to create citations for print liner notes from albums, DVDs, CDs and similar audio-visual media
(quoting from its documentation), not an external website such as Discogs. I'd be grateful if you'd either explain mine error or check your action ~ LindsayHello 11:34, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oh right, I missed that the discogs link was hidden away in a reference template, so I mistakenly assumed you'd added it. I seem to remember having a discussion about this particular factoid years ago with Martinevans123 about some obscure Italian pressing; however as I don't think we've got a really good source to show that this is a vital piece of information for the article, so I'm mindful of removing the whole paragraph from the article. Actually, I've just done that; as this is supposed to be a good article, the sourcing should be of a sufficiently high standard in the first place. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:39, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- I don't remember ever previously discussing this... but it's quite possible. I see no problem with using images of covers or labels at discogs as sources. I'm assuming that label for Side 2 actually matches the track sequence when the record is played? But in this case the details might be classed as unwanted trivia since, as far as I know, they are a bit inconsequential. No strong view. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:48, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. Removing the whole thing was probably the best solution ~ though it's trivia and not essential, it is still amusing that the title was printed incorrectly on the album cover itself; be nice if we had an RS to verify it ~ LindsayHello 11:59, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- Like I said, I tend to trust images at discogs (the can be used as lead images in infoboxes after all?) and can't really see how or why they could be easily faked. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:07, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- I think the more salient point is if the only place you can find the information is an image on discogs, you might wonder why no other sources have bothered to cover it. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:12, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- Because it's muso trivia lol. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:39, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

Question from Starlife4me (13:41, 19 November 2024)
Hi! I'd like to create a wikipage about the 500 Year Plan. This is a plan that would put humanity on track to obtain 3 objectives by the end of 500 years. These objectives are: 1 billion people living on Mars, the Moon, and Ceres each Average life span of a person is 300 years long with the health and vitality of a 40 year old for most of that time All necessities of life (shelter, food, water, oxygen, education, healthcare, etc are free)
I want anyone to be able to edit the plan so that we can come up with achievable goals and milestones via crowdsourcing.
How do I go about doing this? I'm not sure how to proceed.
Thank you! --Starlife4me (talk) 13:41, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- I seem to have missed this question the first time round, but my general advice would be to not create an article on a topic until you've had some experience in updating or improving existing articles first. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:21, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
Question from Christy Johnna (08:54, 2 December 2024)

- Which article are you specifically referring to? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:01, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
Invitation to provide feedback
Inspired by Worm That Turned's re-RfA where he noted administrators don't get a lot of feedback or suggestions for improvement, I have decided to solicit feedback. I'm reaching out to you as you are currently one of the users I've selected as part of my recall process. I hope you will consider taking a few moments to fill out my feedback form. Clicking on the link will load the questions and create a new section on my user talk. Thanks for your consideration. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 16:03, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
