I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. The article Joe Edwards (footballer) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Joe Edwards (footballer) for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Joe Edwards (footballer), which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joe Edwards (footballer) until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. J Mo 101 (talk) 23:12, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you didn't know

[edit]

that if you press "show preview" (the middle button) before saving your edit, you can see what it would look like if you saved it, and then if it's not what you wanted you can go back and start again. But if you do save an edit and realise afterwards it was a mistake, like you did at Ben Foster (footballer), the best thing to do is: click on the "view history" tab at the top of the article and you'll see details of your edit, with an "undo" button at the right hand side of the details; then click "undo" and save the edit; that takes the article back to how it looked before you edited it. I've fixed Foster, no harm done. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 16:43, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Talk:Patrick Hoban has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. This is your last warning; the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Luke Ruddick, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Pol430 (talk) 22:19, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for Repeated removal of speedies on articles you have careated. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:13, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
