2021 C-USA Tournament winner

The 2020–21 Rice Owls men's basketball team represented the Rice University during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by fourth-year head coach Scott Pera, and played their home games at Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston, Texas as members of Conference USA.[1]

Previous season

The Owls finished the 2019–20 season 15–17, 7–11 in C-USA play to finish in 12th place. They lost in the first round of the C-USA tournament to FIU.
