Kaviya Kalanithi Maran (born 3 November 1991)[1] is an Indian businesswoman, co-owner and head of[2] Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League (IPL)[3] and Sunrisers Eastern Cape in SA20 League, and Executive Director of Sun TV Network Limited. She is the daughter of Kalanithi Maran, the chairman and founder of the Sun Group.[4][5]

Career

Kaviya joined the Sun Group, the conglomerate founded by her grandfather,[6] which is one of the largest media networks in Asia.[7] She began her professional journey by overseeing operations of Sun TV Network and Sun Music,[7] among other FM channels under the Sun Group umbrella.

Awards

In January 2024, Kaviya was awarded the 'Face and Force Behind Sunrisers Hyderabad[8]' at the Devi Awards,[9] in recognition of her significant contributions to the franchise.

Kaviya's net worth is estimated to be around $50 million[10] (approximately Rs. 409 crore), making her one of the wealthiest young businesswomen in India.[11]
