Apartment set same as used in “Highlander”?

[edit]

I seemed to recognize parts of the set as being used in the series “Highlander”. Specifically in the apartment appears to have been used as Duncan’s apartment and the Dojo. Am i way off on this or could it be true? Tandldevelopment (talk) 02:44, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think you might be wrong, but if you can find a news source reporting on this specifically, then my thoughts can change. Cardei012597 (talk) 03:16, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Development needs clarification

[edit]

As best I can make out, CBS commissioned the story, then commissioned a pilot, then dropped the pilot and commissioned production of series episodes, then announced the addition of those episodes to the broadcast schedule, and finally attempted to "sell" the rights to the series to a wholly-owned subsidiary of its parent company. Unfortunately, "fast-tracked", "picked up", and "relocate" are used as undefined technical terms, and "series" is used with a plurality of meanings, making the story opaque to the casual reader. That sounds accurate, CBS hired Kurtzman to write the pilot episode and later assembled a crew to film it. CBS dropped the pilot, but reversed coursed and order a season of episodes, and added them to their broadcast schedule. After season one was getting poor reviews and ratings were low, they attempted to move the show to Paramount+ for a possible second season. This plan fell apart, with the show facing a permanent cancellation. That is the show life cycle, in so many words. Does this help? Cardei012597 (talk) 19:39, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It does help. Still unclear what was accomplished by "fast-track", or how (are there different production constraints for a series than a pilot?), but I'll re-read the cited sources. Thank you. Yappy2bhere (talk) 21:22, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Glad I could help. Fast-tracked basically means that the development and/or filming of the rest of the season was done quickly, faster than how its normally done. The cited sources go into a little more detail. Cardei012597 (talk) 21:57, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
