If you vandalize, we will, we will BLOCK YOU!

  • My name is David Morris. My user name stands for Port Charlotte High School - Naval Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps; I was a member of the NJROTC unit at PCHS from the beginning of my sophomore year of high school in 2007 to the day I graduated in 2010. Interestingly, I joined Wikipedia in 2007 as well. I like to expand articles and participate in community discussion. A large portion of my activity on the encyclopedia used to be recent changes patrolling, but I have since given that up because I honestly can't support the way modern administrators (as of May 2018) handle problem users and problem IPs. I am also member of Conservapedia (since 2009), under the username User:DMorris. Though the two wikis don't seem to get along very well, they both fascinate me. I have some administrative privileges at Conservapedia; I am able to edit during the night, use the CheckUser tool, upload images, delete pages, and block users. You can contact me by leaving a note on my talk page or you can drop me an email if you have a registered account. Trolling used to bother me, but not anymore; nowadays it's just free entertainment to watch them try. COI Disclosure - I am involved in politics and have served as an official of the Republican Party (United States) at local level. I am an employee of Sarasota County Schools since September 2019, but not in a public relations role; any edits I make relating to the district should be considered my personal action and not a representative action.
  • As a vandal fighter, I support common sense when dealing with anonymous editors. Long-term blocking a shared IP for minor vandalism is like burning down your house to kill a mouse; you kill the mouse but you destroy everything else in the process, so you shouldn't do it unless the mouse is causing more danger to public safety than the house is worth.
  • My first edit, over ten years ago. Remind me of this and slap me with a wet trout if I ever violate WP:BITE.
