The following lists have been chosen as lists of the month. In December there will be monthlong voting among the twelve List of the Month chosen from December to November as LOTM for January through December. The winning list will be named List of the Year. Each recognized ballot will include a first, second and third choice from among the candidates.

April 2008		List of tallest buildings in Dubai	Raime	List of tallest buildings in Dubai ranks skyscrapers in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates by height. The tallest completed building in the city is currently the 355-metre (1,163 ft) Emirates Office Tower. Dubai's Burj Dubai, which began construction in 2004 and is set to rise at least 164 stories and 818 metres (2,684 ft), became the tallest free-standing structure in the world in September 2007 and will likely become the world's tallest building upon completion. May 2008		List of members of the Swiss Federal Council	Orlady (WP:FLC nominator: Schutz)	The members of the Swiss Federal Council constitute the federal government of Switzerland and serve as the country's head of state. Each of the seven Councilors heads a department of the Swiss federal administration. The members of the Federal Council are elected for a term of four years by both chambers of the federal parliament sitting together as the Federal Assembly. The tallest completed building in the city is the 1,451-foot (442 m) Sears Tower, which contains 108 floors and stands as the tallest building in the country and the fifth-tallest building in the world.
