TOPIC: DAILY ROUTINES.
Se habla de daily routines cuando se quiere dar a conocer las actividades que se
realizan diariamente. Para hacer uso de estas rutinas se utiliza VERBOS EN
PRESENTE por ejemplo Get up (levantarse) take a shower (bañarse), pero
cuando se habla en tercera persona agregamos S al verbo, For example:
 Brush = He brushes his teeth.
Para dar a conocer una rutina se utiliza un tiempo en específico. For example:
 I wake up at 7:00 every morning - Yo me despierto a las 7:00 cada mañana
En las daily routines también se utilizan los adverbios de frecuencia que son para
especificar que tan a menudo realizamos esa actividad. For example:
 Mary always goes to school at 8:00 in the morning. = Mary siempre va a la

escuela a las 8:00 de la mañana.
Examples of adverbs of frequency:

Sometimes Algunas veces
Rarely Rara vez, pocas veces o raramente
Never Nunca
Tip: el adverbio de frecuencia es mas sencillo colorarlo entre el sujeto y el verbo

EXAMPLES OF ROUTINES:
Every morning I wake up at 7:00, go to the bathroom, brush my teeth and take a
shower. After that, I get dressed and go down stairs to have breakfast. After
breakfast, I take the school bus and go to school. My classes start at 8:00. At noon
I have lunch in the cafeteria with my friends. After classes I go home and do my
homework at the dining table. Then, we have dinner at around 6:00 and we go to
bed. (Todas las mañanas me despierto a las 7:00, voy al baño, me lavo los dientes
y me ducho. Después de eso, me visto y bajo las escaleras para desayunar.
Después del desayuno, tomo el autobús escolar y voy a la escuela. Mis clases
empiezan a las 8:00. Al mediodía almuerzo en la cafetería con mis amigos.
Después de clases voy a casa y hago mi tarea en la mesa del comedor. Luego,

FIRST PERSON
Hi! I am Rose. I usually get up early, at about 5:00. I always take a quick shower. I
don’t put on makeup because I don’t like it. Then I cook and have breakfast with
my brother, Arnold. I go to work by bus because I sold my car last week. I start
work at 7:00 and finish at 4:00. Then I go home and watch TV for an hour or two
with Arnold. I go to bed before 11:00 because I need to rest well to be energetic
the next day.
¡Hola! Soy Rose. Usualmente me levanto temprano, alrededor de las 5:00.

Siempre me doy una ducha rápida. No me maquillo porque no me gusta. Luego
cocino y desayuno con mi hermano, Arnold. Voy a trabajar en autobús porque
vendí mi auto la semana pasada. Comienzo a trabajar a las 7:00 y termino a las
4:00. Luego me voy a casa y veo televisión durante una hora o dos con Arnold. Me
acuesto antes de las 11:00 porque necesito descansar bien para estar enérgica al
día siguiente.
THIRD PERSON
Hi! I am Arnold. My sister, Rose, usually gets up early, at about 5:00. She always
takes a quick shower. She doesn’t put on makeup because she doesn’t like it.
Then she cooks and has breakfast with me. She goes to work by bus because she
sold her car last week. She starts work at 7:00 and finishes at 4:00. Then she goes
home and watches TV for an hour or two with me. She goes to bed before 11:00
because she needs to rest well to be energetic the next day.
¡Hola! Soy Arnold. Mi hermana, Rose, generalmente se levanta temprano,

alrededor de las 5:00. Ella siempre toma una ducha rápida. Ella no se maquilla
porque a ella no le gusta. Luego ella cocina y desayuna conmigo. Ella va a trabajar
en autobús porque vendió su auto la semana pasada. Ella comienza a trabajar a
las 7:00 y termina a las 4:00. Luego se va a casa y ve la televisión una o dos horas
conmigo. Ella se va a la cama antes de las 11:00 porque necesita descansar bien
para estar enérgica al día siguiente.
