The F8 2019 Hackathon focuses on our commitment to create social technologies that enable the best of what people can do together. With the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as your guide, you'll use our platform and tools to build for connectivity, sustainability, and equal access to things like education and employment. You'll have two days to create your solution, and access to subject matter experts along the way.

We encourage you to focus on the following four Sustainable Development Goals:

• SDG 4: Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all
• SDG 8: Promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
• SDG 9: Building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation
• SDG 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

What to do before you arrive:

• Read, sign and acknowledge the Hackathon rules by 11:59PM PT on April 23, 2019.
• Learn about the SDGs for context, thought starters, and inspiration.
• Get familiar with the featured Facebook Developer products.
• Join the F8 2019 Hackathon Facebook group to connect with other Hackathon participants.

1. Enter your completed submission form BEFORE 8:00 AM PDT APRIL 30, 2019. Late submissions will NOT be accepted! 
2. Ensure at least one member of your team is at your assigned table for the entire judging period in order to demo to the judges. You may be asked to demo more than once and if your team’s table is empty when the judges come by, you may be disqualified.

• Quality of the Idea
  (Includes creativity and originality of the idea.)

  (Includes how well the idea was executed by the developer, the extent to which Facebook tools are leveraged and the extent to which respect for user privacy was considered in the design.)
• Potential Impact
  (Includes ability to create a better and more sustainable future for all.)

  (Developing a solution that takes into account the diversity of people, product needs and impact, and locations locally and globally while promoting equality and equity.)
