This position required a great deal of understanding of the workings of local government since one of the goals of the project was to instruct the municipal staff on new regulations and procedures that they must oblige to according to the Brussels agreement. I have participated in workgroup sessions dedicated to the structuring of new municipal systematization and budget development for 2015. In addition to this, I worked closely with the Department of Urbanism and Public Utility Company in writing a project for improving the conditions in a local landfill which posed a serious threat to the environment. Related to this project, I also participated in organizing a Cleaning Initiative of lake Gazivode and the river Ibar funded by DEMI project. Let's Clean Zubin Potok Initiative was a joint endeavour between a USAID funded Democratic Effective Municipalities Initiative project and the municipality of Zubin Potok located in the north of Kosovo. The initiative gathered workers of the Zubin Potok municipality, workers of the Public Utility Company Ibar from Zubin Potok, the members of Fishermen's Association from Zubin Potok and representatives of international organisations such as UNMIK, OSCE and of course USAID who was the main financier and coordinator of the event. During the cleaning indicative, illegal dumps on lake Gazivode and river Ibar were cleaned. My responsibilities included coordinating with municipal and international officials as well as buying the necessary equipment and publicizing the event. In addition to this, I cooperated with the director of the Finance Department in organizing the workshops for municipal budget drafting. I attended a two day seminar organized by the DEMI project for the Assembly members of four northern municipalities where they were instructed on budget drafting and some of their duties and responsibilities according to Kosovo laws. This training and subsequent workshops helped me to gain a more extensive comprehension of how a municipal budget is being developed and planned. I also have more than a yearlong experience with teaching English Language to all age groups. I taught English to kindergarten children and high school children and I also tutor adult learners and children from primary schools. I was in charge of developing a curriculum and lesson plans in institutionalized education, as well as private education. I also attended an EU integration School (funded by the Kosovo Fondation for Open Society) where the students were presented with the institutional frame of the EU as well as some important and problematic chapters in the negotiation process with the EU.
