💸 Big tech’s AI boom: $200 billion and counting… Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, and Alphabet are set to surpass $200 billion in spending this year as they push deeper into generative AI. While AI boosts core services and cuts costs, Wall Street remains cautious. Data center and chip investments surged over 42% from last year, with spending hitting $60 billion in the last quarter alone. Citi analysts estimate data centers account for about 80% of this total, fueling concerns about profit margins as we look ahead to 2025.
