Sieffre o Fynwy
cléireach agus staraí Breatnach
(Athsheolta ó Geoffrey of Monmouth)
Cléireach agus staraí as Trefynwy na Breataine Bige ab ea Sieffre o Fynwy (Laidin: Galfridus Monemutensis, Galfridus Arturus, Béarla: Geoffrey of Monmouth; c. 1095 – c. 1155). Ba dhuine mór le rá i bhforbairt stair na Breataine é, agus bhí sé freagrach as an tóir a bhí ar na scéalta Artúraíochta. Is fearr aithne air as a chroinic Historia Regum Britanniae (Béarla:The History of the Kings of Britain; Gaeilge: Stair Ríthe na Breataine)[1] a raibh an-tóir air lena linn. Aistríodh go teangacha eile é ón Laidin inar scríobhadh é. Tugadh údarás stairiúil dó go dtí an 16ú haois féin,[2] ach meastar anois nach bhfuil sé iontaofa mar fhoinse stairiúil.
