The possibility to import sprite and texture data from aseprite would go a long way into making it easier to get up and running with custom assets. Aseprite is a very popular pixel art tool, and used for 2D art for many games.
I think it would massively improve accessibility and make the library feel more rewarding especially to newer users if fully animated sprites were as easy to use as importing from a file with all the data being handled by Aseprite, a very mature 3rd party.
This could be from a .aseprite file, its native save type, or simple by using a generated spritesheet and its associated .json file, which contains all the information needed to play any animations from the sprite very easily.
