There are a few places we might use today() but for an interview that can be used across timezones, there should be a way to specify the user's timezone. Based on, e.g., some jurisdiction selection. Alternatively: can we ask the browser for timezone info?

This might also be appropriate for a helper function in ALToolbox

I've been thinking about timezones for the ReturnDate stuff for Tyler, and there are a few modalities:

  • just using the timezone of the jurisdiction.
  • using the timezone of the user's home address
  • using the user's browser's timezone (for remote court things?)

These are probably all relevant for different use cases.
